To keep your nails looking beautiful and ensure the longevity of your builder gel application, please follow the aftercare advice below:
Daily Nail Care:
Apply cuticle oil (like Nurture Oil) twice daily to keep cuticles and nails hydrated, flexible, and strong.
Moisturise your hands regularly, especially after washing, to prevent dryness and maintain healthy skin.
Things to Avoid:
Do not use your nails as tools — this can cause lifting or breakage. Use the pads of your fingers instead.
Avoid picking, peeling, or biting your builder gel, as this can damage the natural nail underneath.
Do not file your nails at home, as this can break the seal and lead to lifting. If a nail breaks or chips, contact your salon for a repair.
Protection Tips:
Wear gloves when doing household chores, cleaning, gardening, or using any chemicals.
Be cautious with tanning products, sunscreen, and hair dyes — these can cause discolouration. Always wash hands after use.
Use a non-acetone polish remover if you apply regular polish over your builder gel.
General Advice:
Avoid heat exposure for the first 24 hours after application (e.g. saunas, sunbeds, hot baths) to allow the gel to fully set.
If your nails become too long, they are more prone to breakage — book an infill or shortening appointment as needed.
Do not attempt to remove builder gel yourself, as this can damage the natural nail. Always book a professional removal.
Maintenance Appointments:
We recommend infill or maintenance appointments every 3–4 weeks to maintain structure and strength, and to prevent lifting or breakage.
