gel polish

Following the correct aftercare will help your gel polish stay looking beautiful for longer while protecting the health of your natural nails.

Daily & Ongoing Care:

Apply Nurture Oil to your cuticles every evening to strengthen and hydrate your nails, preventing flaking and brittleness.

Moisturise your hands after washing to keep skin soft and youthful.

Wear protective gloves during housework, gardening, or DIY tasks to protect both your nails and polish.

Polish Protection:

Be cautious with suntan oils, repellents, tinted lotions, and hair products – they can cause discolouration. Always wash your hands after use or wear gloves.

Avoid intense heat for the first 24 hours after application – no saunas or sunbeds, as heat can cause lifting or bubbling.

Dos & Don’ts:

DO NOT pick, bite, file, or peel the gel polish – this can cause serious damage to your natural nails.

DO take care when opening ring-pull cans or car doors to avoid lifting or chipping the polish.

DO NOT use your nails as tools.

DO NOT use acetone-based polish remover to take off regular polish if applied over gel – instead, use a

non-acetone remover to avoid damaging the gel finish.

Temporary Colour Change:

You can apply regular nail polish over gel polish if you’d like a temporary colour change. Just be sure to

use non-acetone remover to take it off.

Removal Advice:

For the safest results, book a professional removal appointment.

Never force or peel off the polish.

Maintenance:

Book regular maintenance appointments every 2–4 weeks to keep your nails in top condition.
